IOSH Managing Safely Course 
The IOSH Managing Safely (MS) course is an essential training program designed to provide managers and supervisors with the knowledge and tools necessary to manage health and safety in the workplace effectively. This course is part of the IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) offerings, the world's largest health and safety membership organization. As a Chartered body for health and safety professionals, IOSH aims to promote a safe and healthy working environment globally.

Purpose of the Course 
The IOSH Managing Safely course aims to equip managers and supervisors with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively manage health and safety in the workplace. It emphasizes the moral, legal, and financial imperatives of safety management, highlighting managerial responsibilities and accountability. The course provides comprehensive training on risk assessment and control, legal compliance, and the management of workplace hazards. It also focuses on incident investigation, performance measurement, and the implementation of health and safety management systems. Course Contents

    The IOSH Managing Safely course covers seven comprehensive modules designed to equip managers with the knowledge and tools to effectively handle workplace health and safety. It starts with introducing the key reasons for managing safety and emphasizing managerial responsibilities. The course then delves into assessing risks, explaining the risk assessment process, and the benefits of carrying it out. It covers controlling risks by teaching practical methods to evaluate and implement risk controls. Understanding legal responsibilities and the implications of non-compliance is a crucial part of the course, along with managing various workplace hazards. The course also includes investigating incidents, defining key terms, and detailing the steps for a thorough investigation.     Module 2 – Assessing Risks

    Module 3 – Controlling the Risks

    • The key parts, and the elements of each part, of a health and safety management system

    Module 5 – Understanding Hazards
    The six main hazard categories and how hazards can fall into more than one group Common hazards in the workplace, their effects and symptoms and how to manage them including:

    • Incident reporting
    • The stages of a structured approach to incident investigation
    Module 7 – Measuring Performance
    • What types of information performance indicators can give to help improve safety and health in the workplace
    • The characteristics of good key performance indicators
    • The differences between proactive and reactive performance indicators
    • What is meant by auditing
    • The two types of auditing: internal and external
    • Types of evidence used in an audit

    Learning Outcomes :

      • End of Course Assessment. 
      • The IOSH MS end of Course Assessment will be through Multiple choice test Based upon 30 Question will be Conducted under invigilation in the Exam Center and a Workplace-based practical risk assessment. which the candidate will complete at his/her workplace . Upon successful completion of this program, the candidate will receive a certificate from IOSH UK.
