30-HOUR CONSTRUCTION SAFETY AND HEALTH

Program Description

The 30-hour Construction Safety and Health Program is intended to provide workers with some safety responsibility a greater depth and variety of training on an expanded list of topics associated with workplace hazards in general industry. The Program provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in their workplaces. The program also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.


To qualify for this program certificate, students must complete all required courses listed below. There is no time limit to complete the required courses.

  1. 105 Hazard Communication: Basic (1 hour)
  2. 115 Electrical Safety for Employees: Basic (1 hour)
  3. 144 Introduction to OSHA (1 hour)
  4. 150 Physical Health Hazards in Construction (1 hour)
  5. 151 Biological Health Hazards in Construction (1 hour)
  6. 152 Ergonomic Hazards in Construction (1 hour)
  7. 602 Heat and Cold Stress Safety (1 hour)
  8. 603 Stairway and Ladder Safety (1 hour)
  9. 604 Scaffold Safety (2 hours)
  10. 605 Confined Space Safety (2 hours)
  11. 614 Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment (2 hours)
  12. 618 Managing Safety and Health in Construction (2 hours)
  13. 619 Materials Handling Safety (2 hours)
  14. 712 Safety Supervision and Leadership (6 hours)
  15. 806 Focus Four: Fall Hazards (1.5 hours)
